Kingston Candle is a small-batch candle brand based in Vancouver, BC. We sell handpoured candles through this website. Questions about your data can be sent to cecilia@kingstoncandle.com.

What we collect

We collect information you give us directly:

• Name, email address, and shipping address when you place an order
• Email address if you sign up for our newsletter
• Any messages you send through our contact or feedback forms

We do not collect payment card details — all payments are processed securely by Shopify and Stripe.

How we use it

• To fulfil and ship your order
• To send order confirmations and shipping updates
• To send our newsletter if you opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• To improve the website based on feedback

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Shopify — our e-commerce platform. See their privacy policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy
• Shipping carriers (Canada Post, UPS, etc.) — your name and address to deliver your order
• Email service providers — to send order and newsletter emails

Your rights

You can request to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you at any time. Email us at cecilia@kingstoncandle.com and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are in Canada, you have rights under PIPEDA. If you are in the EU/UK, you have rights under GDPR.

Data retention

We retain order data for as long as required by tax and accounting regulations (typically 7 years). Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe.
